Mayfair Coffee, Bakery & More

I live in Saarbrücken and just discovered this coffee shop. It was a pleasant surprise. The coffee and croissant were perfect Good prices, a very peaceful place to enjoy the moment. And I loved the details of my coffee and the way they served the croissant I'll be back!

This was my first visit, which I genuinely enjoyed. My first impression - The black & white awning and outdoor chairs are very reminiscent of a Parisian cafe; which I personally found appealing. The tables and bar are a white marble, which I read others found 'cold'. However, for me, it was a plus as it added to the look of cleanliness. The atmosphere is not as 'cozy' as other cafes might feel, but I always take cleanliness over coziness. My husband and I both ordered a flat white and shared a Dubai croissant. I found the coffee a bit bitter, but that is not to say there was anything wrong with it. I just prefer a bit more mellow taste. My husband likes bitter, so for him it was enjoyable. So, it's a matter of taste. I can't say I was super impressed with the croissant, but perhaps it was because it was after 2pm and it wasn't freshly baked. (I'll have to come back in the morning to give a more balanced opinion.) The owner and her two sons run the cafe, and they were friendly. I was also impressed with how very clean the entire place is; we sat by the window and watched as one of the sons cleaned the outdoor furniture thoroughly. I think this is very important! It's a shame that nowadays so many restaurants/cafes have such low standards of hygiene, so it's refreshing to visit a place as sparkling clean as Mayfair. We will definitely return.

I purchased a croissant here a few days ago and was very pleased with its quality. However, I returned today at 8:40 AM intending to have coffee, but the place was closed, without any update posted. Google lists the opening hours as 8:30–20:30, and the door says 8:30–20:00. In reality, it was closed at 8:40. I hope there is a valid reason for this discrepancy, in which case I would be happy to revise my review.

Just arrived from London, was feeling home sick so I went london hunting. Found Mayfair and thought this will be very nice, it sure didn’t fail. Got my self a macchiato and pistachio tiramisu and let me tell you, Mayfair’s the spot to come. Good vibes, very friendly employees and lastly very very good coffee and bakery. A must-visit hidden gem in the centre of Saarbrücken!! The vibe of the cafe is chill and cozy, and all the staff there are very friendly and makes you feel welcomed! Most importantly, the cakes are super tasty!! I visited twice and tried classic tiramisu and pistachio tiramisu, they are both amazing, very fresh and moisture, the size of the tiramisu is also very generous. Will definitely come back when I go to Saarbrücken next time!

I’m a tourist and I found this place while looking for a nice place to sit with my family and OMG the food here is delicious. I was so impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. Not only are the croissants gorgeous, but they are very filling and fun to eat. As well, the atmosphere is lovely with beautiful decor and the staff are friendly and open to conversation! Love it!

The croissants were fresh, quite large, and very tasty. The staff was fast, friendly, and eager to help. There was no line at all, which was great as we could order immediately. It was a bit cold inside, but the decor was beautifully done.
